I am obsessed with Evelyn & Bobbie! Especially the Evelyn & Bobbie Beyond Bra. I own it in many sizes and colors including the one I am reviewing here which is Himalayan Salt. After my double mastectomy, these were a lifesaver. So comfortable, and soft and offer just the right amount of support.
Confession: Before I got these because of my surgery, my other bras were 5 or even 10 years old! Who knew bra technology had come such a long way since I shopped for new ones? Lesson learned: shop for bras more often!

Evelyn & Bobbie designs many different styles of bras. Some have back closures, some have adjustable straps, and some are more of a sports bra style. All of them are seamless, contouring, wireless, and perfect for bigger busts.

This brand does a good job representing various skin tones and body sizes on its website. I also LOVE the fact that they email/check in with you when you receive the bra to guide you through making sure you get a great fit.
Because of the stretchy and highly pliable high-tech fabric, it takes a couple of wears for the bra to mold to your shape giving you the perfect fit and hold.
The Beyond Bra is one that has a back closure and adjustable straps.
Sizes Medium to 3 XL have 4 rows of hook and eye closures, while the smaller sizes have 3 rows.
Fully removable bra pads at the cups. They are on the thinner side and are easily taken out or put back in. I wash my bras in a structured lingerie bag on the delicate washing machine setting and I find that the inserts do not bunch up or eject from the bra. I have had bras in the past where the pads would bunch up badly or pop out. These stay put! Ahh, it’s the small things in life that make life easier!

The size Large Beyond Bra in Himalayan Salt Measurements are as follows (all measurements are taken with the bra laying flat and are approximate):
Total length of the band (the entire band with the bra laying flat): 31″
Widest part (height) of the band at the back: 5.25″
Narrowest part of the band at the back (hook and eye closure height): 2″
Distance between the hook and eye closures: 1/2″
Armpit to bottom: 5.5″
Smallest to Longest Adjustable Strap Length: 4″ to 7.5″
Cup measurement (estimated from the top of the cup to the bottom curve): 8″
V-neck to bottom: 6″
Widest strap thickness: 1.5″
Narrowest strap thickness (the elastic part of the strap): 3/4″
Largest setting closed on hook & eye (band measured laying flat, unstretched): 15.5″
Unstretched band measurement with 2nd largest setting closed on hook & eye: 15.25″

In conclusion, the band can be adjusted from 14.75 – 15.5″ (laying flat and unstretched). Please note this bra does have quite a bit of stretch and will mold to your shape (within 2-3 wears when brand new).

The Beyond Bra Comfort and Fit after Double Mastectomy & Reconstruction Surgery
This brand does an impressive job of being size-inclusive. Their bras will fit the smallest to the biggest busts and their models beautifully represent that fact.
Right after my double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, I opted for the size Large because I was recovering from a major surgery. At the time I wore the Beyond Bra in a size large, I was freshly post-surgery and was very swollen. I would say I was about a size 36DD. The bra was PERFECT. When I received it, it was a little tight (which is normal). I wore the bra 3 days / 2 nights in a row (after surgery the only time I could take the bra off was to shower) and that was enough to make it fit PERFECTLY. It was supportive without being too tight and restrictive.
The buttery soft fabric molded to my shape, the cups molded first then the band. I set the band to the middle hook/eye closure so I would have room to make it tighter or looser if needed.

Let’s get the basics out of the way. The actual fabric content is 62% Nylon, and 38% Spandex.
On the inside of Evelyn & Bobbie bras, you’ll see “EB Core®” printed in the underbust area, this is their fully patented 3D “sling”. It’s a carefully engineered “shelf” that lifts and separates from below.

Care and Washing Instructions
Machine wash cold, only non-chlorine bleach, and dry flat do not iron.
Hand washing will always increase the longevity of your bra. But, if you want to wash it in the washing machine, always use a garment bag. I love these garment bags, they are affordable and readily available on Amazon.
Always line-dry your bras. I use a huge, clothes drying rack like this one (because I line-dry almost everything) but you can use something smaller to fit your space better.
I also LOVE Dropps eco-friendly detergent, oxy boost, and fabric softener. Seriously, THE BEST organic/eco-friendly detergent out there.
Evelyn & Bobbie The Beyond Bra Colors
This “Himalayan Salt” color is proprietary and unique to Evelyn & Bobbie. I would say it’s not the typical beige flesh tone or “nude” shade that’s long been outdated because it truly doesn’t match anyone’s skin tone. This shade is a “skin tone” but it’s not a washed-out beige – it is a peachy shade with hues of pink, like Himalayan salt. I am caucasian with dark hair and an olive skin tone and I find this shade to work better for me than the pale, drab “sand” shade.
At first, I was concerned that it was somehow too dark and it would be visible through my white and light-colored thin tees and tops but I find it LESS visible because it looks more neutral than the lighter, “neutral” shade. The neckline outline is definitely less obvious with this color versus my beige-hued or white bras. I also think this shade could work for people with slightly darker complexions as well and it would match better and be less visible under more sheer tops and dresses because it is less yellow and more peachy in hue.
The Evelyn & Bobbie Beyond Bra in Himalayan Salt is one of MANY color options for the Beyond Bra. The Evelyn & Bobbie “Core Collection” colors include black, umber, Himalayan salt, sand, and other colors you might expect. I’m not 100% sure but I did not see a “white” option in the lineup. Otherwise, all the usual suspects for basic bra colors are present.

Overall, definitely give the Evelyn & Bobbie Beyond Bra in Himalayan Salt a try – you have nothing to lose with their great return policy. They have really amazing customer service too!
What I Love About the Beyond Bra
The last time I purchased a bra for myself was probably 5 years ago. Since then bra technology has come a LONG way. We get lazy and do not think about updating our bras at the same rate as we update our clothing. But, our bodies change, especially as we enter our 30s and then 40s.
The way I found the Evelyn & Bobbie The Beyond Bra was searching for “comfortable wireless bras for big busts” on Google. After my double mastectomy with reconstruction, my doctor advised me not to wear bras with wires (and to be honest I can’t even imagine wearing a wired bra after giving wireless a try!). Seeing the great return policy and reviews I ordered the Beyond Bra in size Large and Medium.
After my surgery, I wore a very loose-fitting Mastectomy Bra while I had my drains in so once the drains were out I was ready to wear something that supported me better!
The size Large fit me perfectly then. At that time, right after my surgery, I was VERY swollen. My breasts were tender and needed support because when they were sagging my skin would pull and hurt. When I put the Beyond Bra in size Large on, it felt very slightly snug but after a couple of days, the bra molded to my curves. It was such a great relief to have this after my surgery when I began healing! It made sleeping and laying down easier too as my beasts would stay upright instead of melting to the sides and causing pain and pulling. That’s a whole ‘nother story that I hope to blog about soon!
I love the color and how it’s just slightly different than the tired old “neutrals”. It has a beautiful hue! Nothing like I’ve seen before so I appreciate Evelyn & Bobbie creating this unique shade.
The fabric, honestly, feels so silky, so pliable, and moldable and it falls just right to hug your curves. My old bras feel very Polyester-y and shiny. This feels natural and pleasant to the touch, almost like a second skin. After 2-3 wears this bra will hold the girls up and together as if it was made just for you.
The extra thick straps and thick band will alleviate back pain and strain. The cups are full coverage and have an amazing lift and support. I don’t think you need a sports bra – this one will work hard even when moving around.
If you find the right fit, the cups of this bra won’t gape to show unsightly seams when wearing tighter tops. I suggest you take a smaller size if you are between sizes because these bras DO STRETCH! You might even want to take a smaller size to see how much it will stretch and mold to your shape. I find that getting a smaller size gives me a better, more supportive fit and provides a smoother look in tighter clothing.
The other thing I love about the Evelyn & Bobbie Beyond Bra is the great color selection! They have SO MANY COLORS! Some, skin tones and neutrals and other fun colors and prints! I have a couple of tops from Free People and Anthropologie with exposed backs and I was able to find Evelyn & Bobbie bras to match!
The bra itself also weighs NOTHING (just about 3.8 oz). It’s very lightweight. I live in Southern California and it gets HOT. This bra felt comfortable even on the hottest days.
The customer service is also amazing. One of my shipments was delivered to the wrong address and Evelyn & Bobbie were quick to re-send my order so I would get it before heading out on vacation to Europe.

The second thing to consider, which may be a deterrent in purchasing these bras for some is that they DO stretch. Each bra will fit differently as you wear it for the first time and then re-wear it time and time again. So it may be tricky to find JUST the right size. Fortunately, Evelyn & Bobbie have excellent resources to do your research on their website and via contacting their customer service. And remember, they have a generous, FREE 60-day return policy.
